Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes

Taxes are levied annually by the taxing bodies in the State of Wisconsin on the equalized assessed value of both real estate and personal property. Following are the current rates for Green County communities.

Corporate Income Tax
|
Flat rate of 7.9% of taxable income as apportioned to Wisconsin. Business income is generally apportioned to Wisconsin based on the ration of property, payroll and sales within and without Wisconsin.

A recycling tax surcharge of 2.75% is also imposed. ($25 minimum, $9,800 maximum)

Capital Value Tax
|
Wisconsin does not impose a tax on capital stock value.

State Sales/Use Tax

Wisconsin imposes a tax on the retail
sale or use of most tangible personal property and
many services in the state. The rate of tax is 5%.
