Top Pilots will Compete in the Skies Over Monroe, Wisconsin

**** Monroe has long been known for award winning world-class cheeses, its historic Courthouse Square and rich Swiss heritage. The U.S. Open National Championships will begin competition on Saturday, June 9 and will conclude the morning of Tuesday, June 12. The Balloon competition will feature numerous National and World champions intensely vying for the title and prize money that comes with it.

On the following weekend, June 15 and 16, the 27th Annual Father's Day Weekend Monroe Balloon Rally turns the sport of hot air ballooning into a community-wide festival with activities for the whole family.

Now Monroe is host to two hot air balloon events spanning two back-to-back weekends offering ample opportunities for spectators to delight in the iridescent balloons floating over the rolling countryside. And, depending on the weather, some of these visitors can also experience the sensation of flight from the basket of an airborne hot air balloon.
